International women’s Day – Alanna’s Journey

As we close our International Women’s Day spotlight series, we’re proud to recognise Alanna, Class of 2022.

Alanna is currently studying Paramedicine and Emergency Healthcare at Victoria University, preparing for a career in emergency response.

Reflecting on her time at Skyline, she shares:
“Skyline helped me in all aspects of my life, pushed me academically to strive for more and helped me grow into the person I wanted to be. I got to meet so many incredible people and learn so much through the countless opportunities I was given.”

During high school, the combination of academic and financial support gave Alanna the space to focus and aim higher.

“Coming from a single income household at the time, the support helped tremendously and allowed me to focus on my education. The workshops were inspiring and insightful, and I genuinely enjoyed connecting with mentors and peers who motivated me to keep pushing forward.”
