Skyline alumna of 2014, Rose has since graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and is currently working towards her Master’s degree of Speech Pathology.
Her future was not always this bright however. Rose’s father has been very unwell following a very serious accident and her mother has also experienced health challenges. Rose had a lot of responsibility to provide for her family at a very young age.
Being accepted into the Skyline Program not only meant financial relief for Rose but more importantly created a strong support network, filled with mentors and advisors, during the most important years of her secondary education.
“Somebody approaching me, meant that they saw the potential in me. It meant that someone thought I was a worthy recipient for Skyline. While no one noticed, Skyline did, and I’m very grateful for that”.
