Settling into a new country is never easy, especially when you’re one of ten siblings. Nazdana has had to overcome many challenges adapting to a new culture, learning a new language on top of financial limitations after migrating to Australia from Pakistan along with her family. Her inspirational persistence and courage had landed her an offer to pursue studies in criminology at Victoria University.
Nazdana has been very motivated and inspired by her father who had started working when he was seven years old to provide for his large family. She greatly enjoys work, not to make money but for the everyday opportunities to learn something new. In the future, she aspires to be a proud police officer or working as a detective.
She has a strong sense of social justice and is inspired by Malala Yousafzai by learning how she has overcome her challenges and helped other young girls feel like they belong. The Skyline Foundation has provided Nazdana with a second family that made her feel proud and confident in herself, and she is grateful for the support they always gave her.
