Despite caring for a father with disabilities and a mother and younger sister who are still adapting to their new lives in Australia, Long was an outstanding student at Braybrook Secondary College.
He received excellent results, with the highest ATAR of the Skyline class of 2019, that has allowed him to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. Long believes that everyone should have a home and equal access to education.
The Skyline Foundation has provided him with a second family and empowered him to “stand strong” and be “more prepared to face whatever life throws at me”.
The residential camp allowed him to make new connections, discover himself and grow as a person who is determined to make a positive difference in the world. Long’s passions lie in technology and how it continues to change our society.
He is inspired by a great curiosity to discover new things and hopes to pursue his dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and inventor in the future to empower others to do the same.
