Lili, a Year 11 student from Mansfield Secondary College, is an aspiring actress and filmmaker from rural Victoria, who has also founded an organization called Youth for Refugees (YForR). An avid cello player, Lili was taught the valuable lesson of picking herself up and never giving up when her audition for the Melbourne Youth Orchestra didn’t go to plan. With Skyline’s support, she hopes to be able to be able to meet life-long friends, take all the opportunities possible without financial barriers.
In 2018, Lili organized a music concert on her own to raise funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. She then founded YforR, and as the leader, she is extremely proud of encouraging the youth to join in events bridging the cultural, religious and personal gaps between the Mansfield citizens and refugees. She is passionate about making a difference for a peaceful future, and even more so, being able to inspire others to also have a positive social impact.
