Danny, a Year 12 student at Dandenong High School, is currently undertaking STEM subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Specialist maths, and EAL after previously completing two ¾ subjects, Methods and Biology, during his Year 11 studies.
Leaving everything behind in Vietnam, Danny and his family started a new life in Australia to allow Danny to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. At their “darkest moments”, Skyline supported Danny and his family, allowing Danny to focus on achieving his dream, rather than the hardships that posed as a barrier to unlocking his potential.
Danny is incredibly grateful towards Skyline for providing support and security, as well as allowing him to create memorable personal connections with Skyline mentors, alumni, and fellow students. He believes that with these invaluable experiences, he has become much more optimistic and determined to continuously improve himself.
Through Skyline, Danny has learnt to seek new opportunities to grow and is hoping to study Medicine after high school to pursue his passions, “leave a legacy” and ultimately help his migrant parents who have made many sacrifices
