In 2018, Phoebe suffered from chest pain and suddenly discovered that she would need major heart surgery. This has been a major obstacle that the Carrum Downs Secondary College student still must face, but she feels a lot of appreciation for her life, those around her and every opportunity that comes her way. Therefore, she applied to the Skyline Program to receive the support she needs to thrive through her VCE studies.
Phoebe is beyond proud of being accepted into the Skyline program and when she won her first grand final after being accepted into a high-level netball team. She is most passionate about helping others and wants to act on making a difference on someone’s life, no matter how great or small.
Inspired by her older sister Ruby, she hopes in 2021 to achieve great academic scores and be physically healthy enough to be able to play netball again.
