An acknowledged leader, this year, Hayden has been appointed as School Captain at Kyneton Secondary College where is studying Year 12 in English, Biology, Health and Human Development, Further Maths and Sport and Recreation.
He came to Skyline because he thought it would be a great opportunity to help him do his best academically. He has found that he really has enjoys the people he has met – especially students and mentors and has been inspired by the Skyline Masterclasses that have shown him different ways of thinking and problem solving.
Hayden says that through the Program he has met many new friends that he believes he will keep throughout his life. He says, “Skyline to me, is almost like a second family where I can be myself and find help from many people”.
He is proud of overcoming the challenges of Year 11 and plans to continue with his hobbies this year including playing sport like basketball and football as well as dirt bike riding and other activities in the outdoors which he loves.
This year he wants to achieve a great Year 12 result, he is motivated by his family who is always encouraging him to do his best and he is inspired by his brother because “he took life on by the horns, no matter what.”
